About Veriscia

Veriscia Pty Ltd (ACN 700 818 168) is an Australian company based in Brisbane, Queensland. Veriscia builds infrastructure that analyses scientific literature and reports on the evidence supporting scientific claims.

The service

Veriscia provides analytical outputs about published scientific literature, including assessments of the evidence behind particular claims. Access may be provided through this website, an application programming interface, or another agreed integration.

Features may change as the platform develops. Where a change materially reduces functionality that a customer relies on, we intend to give reasonable notice.

Nature of the analysis

Veriscia reports on the state of published evidence. It does not provide medical, clinical, diagnostic, investment, or legal advice, and its outputs are not a substitute for professional judgement or for reading the underlying research.

An assessment that evidence for a claim is weak is a statement about the published record, not a determination that the claim is false. An assessment that evidence is strong is not a guarantee of correctness.

Acceptable use

When using the service you must not:

• use it in a way that breaches any law, or infringes anyone else’s rights
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or the systems behind it
• interfere with the operation of the service or place unreasonable load on it
• resell, redistribute, or systematically extract the outputs except as expressly agreed
• present the outputs as your own original analysis of the underlying literature

Intellectual property

Veriscia retains all rights in the platform, the analysis it produces, and this website. Rights in the underlying scientific literature remain with their respective owners; Veriscia does not grant any licence to that material.

Availability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, or by events outside our control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, Veriscia’s liability arising from use of the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Where access is provided to a customer under a written agreement, that agreement governs liability between the parties.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of that State have jurisdiction.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the platform develops. The date of the most recent version appears at the top of this page.
